Setup guidance and recovery steps for Sequentale’s native Mac workspace, shared projects, generation jobs, and production exports.

System requirements

Sequentale 1.0 for Mac requires an Apple-silicon Mac running macOS 27 or later. Apple Intelligence features also depend on supported hardware, language, region, model availability, and your system settings. Every core authoring workflow has a manual fallback.

First steps

  1. Open or create a .frameflow project and save it in a location you control.
  2. Sign in with Apple from Settings only when you need shared projects, review activity, server generation, notifications, or purchases.
  3. Enable AI from the project Trust Center only if you want model-assisted work.
  4. Use named versions before structural edits or production handoff.

Documents and recovery

A .frameflow file is a package containing versioned project data, assets, thumbnails, and integrity checks. Keep backups of important productions. If a file reports corruption, do not overwrite it; duplicate it in Finder and preserve the original for recovery. Named versions can restore project state without silently replacing the current document.

Sync and collaboration

Sequentale queues edits while offline and shows conflicts instead of silently choosing a winner. Confirm that the correct project and account are open, reconnect, then use the conflict view to keep local, remote, or reviewed changes. Review decisions remain tied to their fixed revision baseline.

Generation and purchases

Server generation requires project AI consent, an active session, a current quote, and sufficient project/account budget. A job with unknown status should be refreshed before retrying so the same provider work is not purchased twice. Image Playground and Foundation Models are on-device options and may be unavailable depending on the Mac configuration.

Use Restore Purchases in Plans if App Store access is missing. Apple handles billing, refunds, and subscription management.

Export troubleshooting

  • Export to a user-selected writable folder with enough free space.
  • For Final Cut Pro or OpenTimelineIO, keep the exported image folder beside the timeline and relink media if requested.
  • For video, verify that every audio asset is readable and that no external drive disconnects during export.
  • Use the export history hash to verify a handed-off file has not changed.

Privacy and account deletion

Read the Privacy Policy. To delete server-side account data, open a project’s Trust Center and use “Delete all Sequentale data” with the displayed typed confirmation. Local files remain on your Mac until you delete them yourself. Revoke review links and unregister notifications before deleting an account when possible.

Before requesting help

Record the Sequentale version, macOS build, exact error text, whether the project is local or shared, and the smallest reproducible steps. Never send passwords, Apple identity tokens, private keys, provider keys, or sole copies of production files.
